Food & Travel Content Internship with Epicuring
What it is: The co-founders of Epicuring California are seeking a food-mad intern to work with us on the building of our community and help us research, write about, and post the diverse food events and experiences we will feature on Epicuring.com, our newsletter, our calendar and in social media.
About us: We have a background in restaurant and food business as well as Internet management, and we call San Francisco and Berkeley home. Our vision is to create a service that traveling and local foodies need, will use to plan their food adventures, and love.
About you: We’re looking for a California-loving team member who is as passionate about food experiences as we are and
- who enjoys and is skilled at writing, editing, and researching food and cultural events
- is quick on the Internet and ideally have a background using blogging systems and social media
- enjoys and can set up a streamlined process for managing content
- (ideally) can edit photos and is familiar with Flickr
- (nice) if you’ve got or want to learn some design and coding.
Where and when: The position is remote and ideally you are in the Bay Area. It is 10-15 hours per week, from September through November.
What’s in it for you: There will be a stipend paid at the end of the internship. Some of the perks will include attending culinary events and tastings. You’ll also have a chance to learn about travel and food industries; public relations; and online user experience. We will connect you to other opportunities through our vast network of food and tech contacts. (Of course ideally we’ll all keep working together!)
How to Apply
Please send your resume and tell us a bit about why Epicuring interests you as well as 3 ways you learn about intriguing food experiences and events–and what you like and don’t like about them.
