Laiko Bahrs, Co-Epicurator, is an independent culinary consultant with Keefer Bahrs PR.
Laiko is passionate about creating food experiences and guiding food people and products to success. For nearly twenty years Laiko has been collaborating with culinary creators on effective and strategic storytelling though three channels: media, marketing and social media.
Her first business was Epicurean Excursions, an early culinary tour and event company which launched in the late-90’s, and for eight years she led tours of The Mission and Clement Street, created programming for the Fancy Food Show and consulted with food organizations large and small. She’s led countless tours for food lovers and professionals, and collaborated on hundreds of events, small and large like SF Chefs. She’s a connector of people and opportunities, and a culinary marketing and publicity consultant for chefs, butchers, restaurants and food companies. Laiko is also known for her oft quoted: “When baking, follow directions. When cooking, go by your own taste.”
One of her favorite Epicuring experiences was truffle hunting in Provence with a farmer and a blind dog.
